AQSN is the peak national representative body for all queer students in Australia.
It was founded at the annual Queer Collaborations (established 1991) conference of 2011.
AQSN is a network for queer students to organise and collaborate, gain and distribute resources, and make contacts and connections that will activate their education experience, increase accessibility and acceptance for students of diverse sexuality and gender across Australia.
Join our Facebook page, or come to a meeting to get involved. Our AGM is held every year at the Queer Collaborations conference, and we hold monthly online meetings which are open to all queer students.
Hi! My name is Mel, and I am one of the Co-convenor for AQSN. I study Commerce and Economics at the Monash University in Melbourne, VIC, but am originally from the United States of America. I have been a student representative at my university for a few years now, and advocacy and community work is something I hope to carry on into the future. I have a passion for musicals, fun-facts that serve me well in pub trivia, fashion and beauty that challenge norms and is accessible for all. In my spare time, I'm probably lounging at home with my dog, going to the AFL with my family or off on nature photography walks. I'm very pleased and excited to act as AQSN Co-convenor alongside Kat & working with the whole AQSN team!
