Ally network

Trained volunteers who are informed about, and understanding of, the experiences of members of the LGBTQIA+ community. Provide information and make appropriate referrals. Allies are not expected to be experts or to take on a counselling role but have access to resources in order to refer on to appropriate services.

Loans

                Short-term loans

Short-terms loans are available up to $2000 ($500 for international students) at no interest. May be used to meet expenses such as: textbooks, course equipment, travel, accommodation, living expenses, emergency medical/dental expenses, bond and rent.

                Emergency loans

Emergency loans are available up to $100 ($300 for international students) at no interest and are processed within one working day. May be used to meet expenses such as: food, accommodation or a medical or family crisis.

 

Equity Scholarships

                CSU Emergency Equity Food Vouchers

Provides assistance to students in need of immediate support to purchase food and personal items (up to $60 in food vouchers).

                                To assist students that suffer unforeseen adverse or emergency events (up to $500).

Counselling

CSU counsellors are available to provide advice on general health, referrals to community health services, and confidential advice on personal matters. Counsellors can assist with: personal concerns, academic and administrative problems, referrals to community groups, stress, assertiveness, exam anxiety, depression, loss, grief, abuse issues, family conflicts and relationships.

Counsellors can be contacted in person, over the phone or through Skype (9am-5pm Monday to Friday) and any counsellor from any campus can be contacted.
